Steps to Claim UTAP Reimbursement

NTUC Members: Get Back 50% of Your Course Fees with UTAP!

Under the Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP), paid-up NTUC members can claim 50% of the unfunded course fee (the fee left after government subsidies) for Emerge Creatives WSQ courses.

UTAP is capped at $250 a year, or $500 a year for members aged 40 and above. Follow the steps below to claim.

How to Claim UTAP for Emerge Creatives Courses?

Step 1: Check your NTUC membership

Make sure you are an NTUC member paying full membership fees, and stay a member throughout the course and when you submit your claim. UTAP does not apply if your course fees are fully sponsored by your company.

Step 2: Register with Emerge Creatives

Sign up for your course directly with Emerge Creatives by emailing training@emerge-creatives.com. You do not need to apply for UTAP before the course starts.

Log in to MySkillsFuture with Singpass to claim SkillsFuture Credit

Step 3: Pay the nett course fee

Pay the course fee that remains after government subsidies, and keep your invoice and receipt from Emerge Creatives.

Step 4: Complete the course

Attend at least 75% of the course. This is needed to qualify for UTAP.

Search Emerge Creatives as training provider and select registered WSQ course to claim SkillsFuture Credit

Step 5: Log in to the UTAP claim portal within 6 months

Within 6 months of completing the course, go to utap.ntuc.org.sg/onlineClaim and log in with Singpass. Late claims are rejected.

Step 6: Upload your documents

Upload your proof of payment (invoice or receipt showing the nett fee after subsidies) and proof of completion (certificate or attendance record showing at least 75% attendance). Add your bank details if they are not already filled in.

Step 7: Submit and track your claim

Submit your claim. Approved UTAP is paid into your bank account, and you can check your claim status in your NTUC Membership e-Statement.

Example

If you pay $400 for a course after government subsidies, UTAP reimburses 50% of it, which is $200, subject to your annual cap ($250 for members below 40, $500 for members aged 40 and above).

Bonus for AI learners

From 1 May 2026 to 30 April 2028, members who complete a UTAP-approved AI course can also claim 50% of the subscription fee for an approved AI tool, within the same annual cap.
